LA CROSSE/COON VALLEY — Annette E. Ihle, 77, of La Crosse and formerly of Coon Valley died Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Hillview Health Care Center in La Crosse.

She was born Aug. 22, 1939, in Chaseburg, to Arthur and Edna (Lupie) Kuester. Annette was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Chaseburg. She graduated from Westby High School in 1958. Annette married Oswald Ihle June 30, 1961, at St. Peter’s in Chaseburg. Over the years she worked at the Swift Company in La Crosse, and Stockmen’s, the Drapery Shop and Kwik Trip, all in Coon Valley. Annette was an active member of the Coon Valley American Legion Auxiliary, having been a member since age six. She served as president for many years. She was also a member of the Coon Valley Lutheran Church and South Ridge Circle.

Annette enjoyed playing cards, making lefse, supporting her son in his sports, spending time with her grandchildren and participating in auxiliary functions.

Survivors include her son, Orlin (Tonya) Ihle of Holmen; four grandchildren, Lauren and Alex Ihle of La Crosse and Tristen and Kendall Warren of Holmen; a sister, Janice Raasch of Onalaska; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ossie in 2012; and a brother, Wayne Kuester in 1991.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Thursday June 15, at the Coon Valley Lutheran Church.The Rev. Mitzi Miyamoto will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
