Grant K. Stromstad, 66, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, from surgical complications.

He was born July 28, 1951, to Sam and Lillian Stromstad. He was raised in rural Coon Valley. On June 28, 1975, he married Deb (Douglas) and they made their home in rural Westby, on a hobby farm where he enjoyed gardening, hunting, taking care of Deb’s horse, fishing in the Mississippi and most of all, having fun with grandkids in “Pop’s garage.”

In addition to his wife, Deb, he is survived by two wonderful daughters, Amy (Jamey) Evenstad of rural Coon Valley and Jill (Phil) Davidson of rural Westby; four beautiful grandchildren, Lydia Nicole Evenstad and Grady Michael Evenstad, Taylor Lynn Davidson and Sawyer Grant Davidson; sisters, Nancy Mahlum, Ruth (Kurt) Driscoll, Ruby (Craig) Jacobson; sisters-in-law, Pat Stafslien and Donna Bean; brother-in-law, Jim (Kathy) Douglas; numerous nieces, nephews cousins and many friends.

Memorials may be sent to the Westby Music Parents, Norsemen Booster Club or Coon Valley Baseball Assn.

Grants motto: “I have worked with so little for so long I can fix anything with nothing in no time at all.”

Private graveside services will be held. A celebration of life will be held starting at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, at the Coon Valley American Legion.
