Ingrid Constalie, activity director at Vernon Manor, was re-elected vice president of the Wisconsin Representatives of Activity Professionals (WRAP) by a statewide majority membership vote. She was sworn in with three other members of the WRAP executive committee at the annual conference in Stevens Point on Sept. 21. In this role she serves as the state contact on the National Association of Activity Professionals (NAAP) board and attends national conferences around the U.S. to exchange information between WRAP and NAAP.
Constalie has been on the WRAP board since 2004, holding the various positions Scholarship Chair, Historian and Government Relations Chair. She presented a Government Relations Update at four annual conferences. She is also the Regional Representative for the Western Wisconsin Activity Professionals.
In addition, she has been the Leading Age Wisconsin WRAP representative and the WRAP contact for the Wisconsin Dementia Care Redesign.
She has completed Dementia Specialist Training through the Alzheimer’s Association, is certified in Music and Memory and Chair Chi, is a Board Certified Activity Professional and most recently became a Certified Dementia Practitioner through the National Council of Dementia Practitioners. She has been the site coordinator/accompanist for the Vernon Voices Community Choir that has met in her facility since it began in 1998. She has been a member of the Vernon Memorial Hospice Advisory Board for over thirty years and an active member of the UW-L Alumni Band. She lives in Westby with her husband Bob and Molly, her yellow lab. She enjoys reading, music, cooking/baking and spending time with her family.
