At its recent fundraiser the Coon Valley Area Baseball Association received a generous donation from the Northwoods League Foundation.

Dan Kapanke, owner of the La Crosse Loggers represented the Northwoods League and presented Willie Urbanek, CVABA President a check for $2,500 to help with the further construction of the youth baseball/softball field in Veteran’s Memorial Park in Coon Valley.

The Northwoods League Foundation has a three step approach to assist baseball programs in the Midwest.

The group mission is to utilize the game of baseball to enrich the quality of life for children and families with an enduring and caring focus on Northwoods League communities.

The group vision is to harness and transform the unique passion of Northwoods League’s fans, players, management and owners to positively impact the Northwoods League communities.

The group value is the belief is that the Northwoods League Foundation will continue to develop and enjoy wide-ranging experiences and appreciation of the great game of baseball by following through with its mission and vision.

The CVABA and the youth baseball and softball teams of Coon Valley would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Kapanke, the La Crosse Loggers, and the Northwoods League Foundation for their donation and for supporting baseball in the Coulee Region.
