The Viroqua Chamber held its 22nd annual Twinklefest on Friday, Nov. 24.

The Twinklefest parade kicked off promptly at 7 p.m. with 47 parade entries. A large crowd that gathered to watch the event dodged periodic rain showers that kept teasing everyone. Some people manned umbrellas and hid under store awnings, while others just took it all in stride and simply got wet, but enjoyed the warmer than normal temperatures.

The parade included local businesses, organizations and of course the jolly man in the red suit, Santa Claus. Grand Marshals were Dan and Sheila Kanis and Mark and Kris Brueggen.

Other featured fun holiday activities included chestnut roasting; s’mores booth; street vendors, with holiday wreaths; and local fundraiser booths set up for the holiday season.
