2017 Snowflake Royalty

2017 Snowflake Royalty bid farewell to a very memorable year. From left: 1st Attendant Emily Henchen, Queen Sharice Elbert, and 2nd Attendant Jessica King.

Hello everyone! I’m your 2017 Westby Snowflake Ski and Golf Club Queen Sharice Elbert.

Words cannot begin to explain how amazing this past year has been. So many memories and great opportunities were presented to the 2017 court, but sadly it is time for us to say goodbye.

On behalf of my First Attendant Emily Henchen and my Second Attendant Jessica King, we would happily like to give an enormous thank you to the city of Westby and the Snowflake Ski and Golf Club, for their continuous support. We would also like to thank them for allowing us to be the proud and honored representatives for the previous year.

By granting Emily, Jessica, and I this incredible experience, we have gone from being acquaintances to close friends. It has also provided us with more information and knowledge of this town and its fascinating traditions.

The three of us are also thankful for being a part of the 94th annual ski tournament, and feel that we couldn’t have asked to represent a better event. We were faced with new experiences, while being surrounded by people filled with joy for the momentous occasion.

I would highly recommend that anyone who has not witnessed the ski jump to attend the 95th annual ski tournament. Once again, it will be held in beautiful Timber Coulee during the first week of February. Whether you can feel the suspense while skiers soar through the air, dig through the saw dust pile for quarters, or attend the energy filled dance on Friday night, it is an experience that most definitely shouldn’t be missed.

Throughout the year, as royalty, we have been honored to attend many parades and events with our exceptional advisors and caring families. By attending these events we were able to promote the Ski and Golf club and city of Westby.

Emily, Jessica, and I would directly like to thank the members of the Westby Ski and Golf Club and the countless volunteers. Every year they are the individuals who dedicate their time and hard work to make the tournament possible. We all wish to see everyone at the 95th annual ski tournament on February 2-3, 2018

For the last time, I am your 2017 Westby Snowflake Queen, Sharice Elbert.
