A Viroqua man is in custody on vehicular homicide charges after striking several vehicles and a home Monday evening in Holmen.
Corey Bolstad was driving a truck on Sand Lake Road at about 6:50 p.m. when he struck another vehicle near Sand Lake Elementary School, according to Holmen police. Bolstad’s vehicle then collided with a nearby house. Nobody inside the residence was injured.
Bolstad, 34, was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries and was booked into the La Crosse County jail Tuesday on suspicion of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, hit-and-run causing death and reckless driving causing great bodily harm.
The other driver has not been identified.
Bolstad’s vehicle was in two other crashes prior to the incident at Hope Court, according to police.
