National Education Association’s (NEA’s) Read Across America is a national campaign bringing together schools, libraries, and communities to promote reading and literacy for children and teens. The annual event occurs every year on March 2, the birthday of the famous children’s author, Theodor “Seuss” Giesel, better known as Dr. Seuss.

Students at Westby Elementary School held a special program honoring Dr. Seuss with educators and older students in the school reading books to younger students, while others played several games that incorporated letters, sounds, reading and exercise.
