Westby Head Coach Kara Timmel said everyone is very proud to have a state qualifier.
“Overall this was certainly our best team night as well. I am so pleased with the growth these girls have shown throughout the season and we all wish Valeria the best of luck,” Timmel said.
Highlights for Westby included: Emily Olson and Bekah Dwyer both having great routines on parallel bars and freshman Emma Nelson started the night off with a very clean vault. Pride was beaming from freshman Maggie Grethel after she nailed her beam routine and senior Savannah Kenyon competed for the first time ever in her career at Sectionals. Teagan Rooney rounded out the team performing on floor and on bars, while three gymnasts participated on all four events, Bekah Dwyer, Emily Olson and Kaydan Jothen.
“A big thank-you to our senior gymnasts Emily and Savannah for their time, dedication and desire to improve all season long,” Timmel said.
Congratulations to all the Westby gymnasts on your fine season and Good Luck Valeria at State!
