Millennial males aren’t big wine drinkers, but it’s still a large potential market. That is the age target for the Gentleman’s Collection series from Lindeman.
Each bottle features a set of rules for gentlemen and notes that Henry Lindeman started a winery in 1843 to bring some civility to some hard-drinking Australians.
This cabernet comes from Napa, Calif., and is dense with dark red fruit and exceptionally smooth tannins, aided in part by a splash of fortified wine. It weighs in at 13.9 percent alcohol.
Sherry: “Smooth and full-bodied with elements of cherry, blackberry and licorice with violet and vanilla on the finish.” (3.75 stars out of 5)
Chris: “A bouquet of fig and brown sugar with flavors of blackberry, cherry and blackcurrant with a long, smooth finish.” (3.75 stars out of 5)
Available from $13 to $16.
