I. NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS The City of La Crosse, by the undersigned Board of Public Works (BPW), will receive electronic proposals until 2:25 p.m. on the 6th of February, 2020 for doing the following public work in the City of La Crosse, Wisconsin: 2020 Streetscaping George Street Clinton St. to Cunningham St. To consist of approximately: Removal and/or installation of: concrete curb & gutter and flatwork; concrete bases; saw cutting; compacted road base; and concrete pavement. Installation of conduit, concrete light bases & cabinet bases, lights and lighting cabinets Catch basin repair and replacement The above public work will be let to the lowest responsible bidder and shall be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications for the same now on file with the Engineering Department for the inspection of bidders and in accordance with the prepared form of contract and bond also on file with said Engineering Department. No bid shall be awarded unless accompanied by Certificate of Organization and Authority, Disclosure of Ownership, together with a list of Subcontractors; and no bid shall be received without certified check for not less than 5%, nor more than 10% of the total amount bid or a bid bond for not less than 5% nor more than 10% of the total amount bid. Bidder's Proof of Responsibility paperwork must be filed in the office of the Director of Finance, City of La Crosse, no later than 4:00 p.m. on the Thursday one week prior to bid, showing sufficient financial ability, equipment, and experience to properly perform the contract. The BPW decision regarding qualification shall be final. Bids will be accepted only from such qualified bidders. The Notice to Contractors, the Information to Bidders, the Bid Proposal, the Certificate of Organization and Authority, Disclosure of Ownership, Bid Bond and list of Subcontractors, the Performance-Payment Bond, the General Conditions, Specifications, Plans, Addenda (if any), and all ordinances of the City applicable to this contract shall be considered a part of the contract. The time for commencement of the work shall be no sooner than ten (10) days after Common Council shall have awarded the contract and shall be completed by 10th of September, 2020 with restoration completed by June of 2021.Complete digital project bidding documents are available on-line.
