OFFICIAL COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Menomonie, Dunn County, Wisconsin, was held in open session on December 17, 2018, and called to order by Council President Solberg, who retained her right to vote, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. The following members were present: Luther, Traxler, Sutherland, Sweeny, Schwebs, Merrill, Solberg, Cruz, Erdman, and Sommerfeld. Bullock was absent. MOTION was made by Merrill, seconded by Luther, and carried to approve the minutes of the December 3, 2018 meeting. PUBLIC COMMENTS – Rickie-Ann Legleitner indicated she was there if the City Council had any questions about her sewer back up claim at 914 Stout St. MOTION made by Schwebs, seconded by Luther, and carried unanimously on a roll call vote to approve the 2019-2020 capital improvements program as presented. MOTION made by Cruz, seconded by Traxler, and carried unanimously on a roll call vote to approve a reimbursement of $5,000 to Rickie-Ann Legleitner for sewer backup damages at 914 Stout St. MOTION made by Merrill, seconded by Sutherland, and carried unanimously on a roll call vote to approve the 2019-2020 Menomonie Police Sergeants Association contract as presented. MOTION made by Luther, seconded by Sommerfeld, and carried unanimously on a roll call vote to approve a 2% wage/salary adjustment for “non-represented” city employees for 2019. MOTION made by Merrill, seconded by Schwebs, and carried to approve the 2018 Wastewater Treatment and Phosphorus Facility Plan Amendment. MOTION made by Schwebs, seconded by Merrill, and carried unanimously on a roll call vote to approve the 3-year HydroCorp cross connection inspection agreement for $94,176.00 or $31,392 per year. MOTION made by Luther, seconded by Erdman, and carried unanimously on a roll call vote to approve the State Municipal agreement for the State Highway 25 project for $1,700. BUDGET TRANSFER – None MAYOR’S REPORT – President Solberg talked about what a great turnout the Winterdaze Parade had. Luther also talked about the Mayor and him volunteering at the Christmas Miracle event for kids put on by Road to Freedom MRO. COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS – The Council was given the Monthly Building Inspection Report and the Bicycle Friendly Community award.
