Happenings at Norskedalen: Letters from Anne This beloved education program is now vi virtual! rtual! Anne Engum, youngest daughter of the Engum Family whose home is in our Homestead, writes letters to her family and friends in Norway. 6 letters filled with details of life in a new country, complimented by videos, assignments, projects and a writing journal. Easily adaptable for classrooms, both on-line and in-person, as well as individual learning. Go to www.norskedalen.org, scroll over “Education” and click “Letters from Anne” to enroll. Old Fashioned Christmas Plan a day of shopping for unique, one-of-a-kind gifts when the shelter on Norskedalen’s main property is transformed into a Julemarked, or Christmas Marketplace! Vendors with hand-made goods will join us for the day, while traditional Norwegian baked goods will be sold from the shelter kitchen window. Yule-log hunts, snow shoe hikes, letters to Father Christmas and more! Saturday, December 5, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. All Old Fashioned Christmas activities will be held outside. Masks required. Regular admission rates will apply Candlelight Snowshoe Hike Snow covered trails under a canopy of trees with the light of the moon and candle luminaries to light your way!
