CITY OF LA CROSSE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES The City is currently accepting applications for the following vacant positions in the Municipal Transit Utility: BUS DRIVER: Position requires excellent human relations and communication skills in serving a diverse customer base. Position requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to obtain/maintain a CDL Class B with airbrakes and passenger endorsement, and good driving record. Work schedule includes various hours/shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Starting wage for this non-exempt unionized position is $20.10/hr. TRANSIT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE: Position performs clerical, bookkeeping, recordkeeping, and secretarial functions. Position requires a HS diploma or equivalent, vocational/technical training, 3 yrs responsible clerical/office experience including bookkeeping/accounting experience or any combination equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Valid driver’s license required. Must pass a written exam, computer skills test and typing test. Starting wage for this unionized position is $17.98/hr, with earning potential of $23.66/hr. The City offers a comprehensive benefit package.
