Bring your lunch and your organization’s mission

Targeted session for nonprofit staff and volunteers who want to learn the basics of grant writing and get insight into the world of charitable foundations and other private sources of funding. This four-hour session will show you how and why foundations request grant proposals and what makes for an effective grant proposal package. You will practice telling your organization’s story in compelling ways and learn how to build an organizational culture of story-gatherers—a key component of your grant writing and fundraising success.

“Grant Writing 101” will be taught by Driftless Writing Center board member Jennifer Morales and all proceeds from this workshop will go to support future DWC programming. Jennifer has been writing grants for nonprofit organizations in the education, social justice, and policy fields since 1993. Her grant writing has raised nearly $30 million dollars for her client organizations.

Please direct any questions about the content of this workshop to Jennifer at or 414-331-6473.
