Despite historic gains in 2018, women are still vastly underrepresented at all levels of public office.  We'll discuss barriers, opportunities, and separate myth from fact in this discussion of women's representation. Attendees will leave with an understanding of why this problem was never going to be solved in one election cycle and what they can do in their communities to help build the change they want to see.  

Erin E. Forrest is the Executive Director of Emerge Wisconsin. Before joining Emerge, Erin served on the Waterloo City Council and Plan Commission, as Chair of the Democratic Party of Jefferson County, the Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin’s County Chairs’ Association, and served on the kitchen cabinets of many candidates for public office.
