BANGOR -- Harry Frederick Caulum Sr., 89, of rural Bangor was called to his heavenly home Monday, July 2, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health System, Sparta.

Harry was born Feb. 3, 1929, to Clarence and Eleonora (Hesse) Caulum in Barre Mills. He was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church and later graduated from West Salem High School in 1947. He was united in marriage to Elnora M. Gates April 23, 1949 and a lifetime of love and dedication followed. They moved to Bells Coulee in 1954, to farm and raise their five children. In addition to farming, Harry hauled canned and then bulk milk to the Mindoro CO-OP Creamery, for over 35 years. He was a member of Bells Coulee Lutheran Church for over 60 years and enjoyed serving in many roles there through the years.

Harry is survived by his loving wife of 69 years and their children, Harry Jr. (Ellen) of Bangor, Pam (Tom) Powers of Holmen, Dan of Taylor, Gary of Sparta and Todd (Carol) of Bangor. He is further survived by 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; his brother, Richard (Barbara) Caulum; sisters, Caroline Caulum, Marcella (Sylvester) Marking and Dorothy Severson; along with many nieces and nephews, cousins and numerous other friends.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Eugene; and brother-in-law, LeeRoy Severson.

The family would like to thank all of the staff throughout the Mayo Healthcare System, in La Crosse, Onalaska and Sparta for their wonderful care and attention.

A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bells Coulee Lutheran Church, rural Bangor. Burial was in Burns Cemetery.
