It’s Applefest time in La Crescent — a wonderful time to celebrate community and autumn in the Apple Capital of Minnesota.

From food and fair rides to contests and the grand parade, it’s a wonderful time to connect with friends and enjoy the gorgeous weather.

Here’s the schedule:

Friday, Sept. 14

4 p.m. to 1 a.m.: Refreshment tent open

4 p.m.: Family Fun Shows Carnival

4 to 7 p.m.: Applefest reunion

5 to 9 p.m.: Wristband for carnival

7 to p.m.” Tapping of the Red Apple Keg

8 p.m to midnight: The Dweebs

Saturday, Sept. 15

8:30 a.m.: Applefest Run to the Edge Scenic 5K

9 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Flea market

9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Arts and crafts fair

10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Classic car show

11 a.m.: Kiddie parade

11 a.m.: Family Fun Shows Carnival

11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: United Methodist chickencue

11:30 a.m.: Big Wheel races

Noon to 1 a.m.: Refreshment tent open

Noon to 4 p.m.: Wristband for carnival

Noon: Applefest Cornhole Tournament

1 p.m.: Kiddie Tractor Pull

3 to 5 p.m.: Jim Busta Band

4:30 to 6:30 p.m.: Presidents Reception

5 to 6 p.m.: Hoch Orchard cider tasting

7 p.m.: Applefest Queen Coronation, La Crescent High School

7 p.m. to 11 p.m.: Teen dance

Sunday, Sept. 16

7 a.m. to noon: Lion’s Club pancake breakfast, La Crescent High School

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Flea market

11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: United Methodist chickencue

Noon to 10 p.m.: Refreshment tent open

Wristband for Carnival: Noon to 6 p.m.

1 p.m.: King Apple Parade

3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Apple Annie performance

6 to 9 p.m.: Two Tone ReVeille Band
