CONGRESS, Ariz./NORTH BEND — Gerald G. Sacia, 70, of Congress, formerly North Bend joined his beloved first wife, Roberta, Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born March 4, 1947, to Spencer and Marian (Hardie) Sacia. On May 1, 1965, he married Roberta Haag in North Bend. She preceded him in death Oct. 26, 2005. He later married his second wife, Vicky. He was an avid outdoors-man who loved hunting, fishing and trapping. Later in life, he acquired a love for gold mining and manufacturing knives. For most of his working life he was employed as an electrician with many local companies.

Survivors are his wife, Vicky and her children; two brothers, Russ (Diane) Sacia of Mt. Horeb, Wis., Terry Sacia of Winona, Minn.; four children, Paula (Keith) Stenback of Sparta, Peggy (Jeremy) Cole of Melrose, Paul Sacia of Melrose, Pat (Kim) Sacia of Melrose; his grandchildren, Tasha (Mason), Christopher (Jenna), Travis, Justin, Jaden, Colin, Calette, Carter; and a great-grandson, Kouper; with a great-granddaughter on the way.

Besides his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister-in-law, Janet (Hansen) Sacia.

A celebration of Gerald’s life will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 4, at the Neil S. Lewison American Legion in Melrose.

Zwickey Funeral Homes, Melrose Chapel assisted the family.
