Leslie E Hulett, 97, passed away peacefully at home Monday, June 19, 2017, in the care of his niece, Diane Harmer and Hospice.

He was born and raised in Hixton. He returned to the area after World War II and various jobs. He then began his life as a plumber and well digger, never truly retiring, as he still gave advice and sold parts well into his 90s. He loved fishing, hunting, the outdoors and having coffee with his friends. He always had a twinkle in his eye and loved children. He was generous and trusting to a fault.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Jean Stromnes (Hulett); brother, George Hulett; and many nieces and nephews.

I am sure that in Heaven he is asking for a nickels worth of $10.00 bills. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017, at Jensen- Modjeski Funeral Home, 128 S. Hoffman St., Hixton.

Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, 715-963-2311, is assisting the family with arrangements.
