BLACK RIVER FALLS — Patricia (Patty) Jeanette Barnum, 82, of Black River Falls passed away, Sunday, July 8, 2018.

She was born March 17, 1936, in Sparta, to Theodore and Beulah (Bebee) Jach. After her parents divorce, she was raised in foster homes. First with the Thompson family in Cataract. Then, she and two of her sisters were fortunate enough to wind up with their half-brother, Ted (Lena) Jach. She married Reuben Barnum March 1, 1958, at the Shamrock Union Church. They farmed in Pine Hill. He preceded her in death. Patricia moved to Black River Falls, in 2004.

She is survived by her children, Ruby Eide and Tim (Angie) Barnum; grandchildren, Jimmy (Tina) Eide, Aaron Eide, Lucas (Mindy) Eide, Garrett Decorah, Lizz Barnum and Samantha Barnum; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; her brother, Robert (Lois) Elliot of West Salem; sisters, Mary Osgood of Kansasville, Wis., Joann (Yoel) Esquivel of Clewiston, Fla.; and a dear friend and neighbor, Debbie Nicholson.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ray (Dorothy) Jach, Ted (Lena) Jach, Gordon (Hilda) Jach; sisters, Jeanette (Dean) Behling , Norma Kasun; and a grandson, Christopher Eide.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday, July 13, from Shamrock Union Church with the Rev. Terry Marg officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Zwickey Funeral Homes, Melrose Chapel assisted the family.
