BRF Cross Country

Sabreya Crawford leads a group of runners early on in the Division 2 sectional cross country race Saturday in Westby.

The Black River Falls Tigers cross-country team hit sectional action at Westby Saturday, but would have a hard time breaking through the tough competition at the meet.

The highest boys finisher was Kobe Nichols at 41st overall, and on the girls side it was Zyanna Deloney who came in 50th overall.

Not too far behind his teammate was fellow Tiger John Kramer who came in at 49th.

Next highest on the girls team would be Sabreya Crawford who came in 73rd.

Rounding out the team, Stephen Redbird finished 78th, Caleb Marecek came in 87th, Matthew Becker was 90th and Noah O’Brien finished 92nd.

As a team, the boys came in 14th overall, just ahead of Adams-Friendship.

The girls cross country team didn’t have enough competitors to be a complete team so didn’t place.
