Area Community Theatre will conduct “Let’s ACT” student workshops for boys and girls to be held Saturdays beginning Feb. 9 and concluding May 18.

Class activities focus on acting skills and theater basics.

“I know your child will love this class,” Instructor Steve Jones said. “Just through the games they play, children learn more about acting and become more aware of what’s going on around them. The skills learned will help your child in school activities and learning.”

Registration is open to students in grades two through eight.

Students in grades two through five will meet mornings at 9 a.m. for classes titled “Using Your Imagination.”

Students in grades five through eight will meet afternoons at 12:30 p.m. for classes titled “What is Acting?”

Individual classes are $10 each. Students attending all twelve sessions and paying in advance will pay $100.

The registration deadline is Feb. 4, and the classes will be cancelled if too few students register.
