A 68-year-old Tomah man died Thursday in a single-vehicle crash in the town of Adrian Thursday.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a southbound vehicle driven by Steven J. Doll was headed southbound on Highway M shortly after 5 p.m. when the vehicle drifted off the roadway just north of Flint Road. The vehicle struck a mailbox before hitting a culvert and rolling at least once before coming to rest in the southbound lane.

Doll was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The State Patrol said Doll was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Assisting the State Patrol were the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, City of Tomah Fire Department, Tomah Area Ambulance Service and Oakdale Fire Department.

The State Patrol said the crash remains under investigation.
