For the last 10 years, it has been my honor and pleasure to serve you in the State Legislature.

These years have been good for our state, and good for the 50th District. Together, we’ve lowered taxes, reduced unemployment to a record low and made progress for rural Wisconsin.

In 2016, I introduced the Rural Wisconsin Initiative, and since then we’ve incorporated seven provisions from that package into law. We are now incentivizing teachers to come to our area, expanding broadband and growing the rural health care workforce.

I am not seeking re-election because I need to focus on fighting leukemia, but I am proud to endorse my friend Tony Kurtz for the position. Tony will keep us moving forward. He is a farmer, a 20-year Army veteran, and a strong family man.

I was born in Sauk County, I grew up here and I’ve lived here almost my entire life. I know that Tony is the best person in this race to stand up for our values. He’ll prioritize meeting our infrastructure, workforce and health care needs. He’ll work hard and get real results for Central Wisconsin families.

Please join my wife Barb and I and cast your vote for Tony Kurtz on Nov. 6.

State Rep. Ed Brooks,

R-Reedsburg
