Nancy VanderMeer deserves your support in this year’s state Assembly race. I have known Nancy for nearly 20 years, and she is the real deal. She is passionate about serving her constituents and finding solutions that make our state better for all the people she represents.

As somebody who served Elroy and neighboring counties in the Assembly for 20 years before becoming governor, I learned what it takes to be an effective legislator in representing Wisconsin’s rural communities.

In Nancy’s two terms as your representative, she focused on addressing the issues facing rural Wisconsin. She worked to secure increased sparsity aid for rural schools and increased education funding. She worked to increase funding for community health centers, which serve rural areas, and she voted to protect people with pre-existing conditions. Nancy recognizes the need to address worker shortages in rural areas, which is why she voted to invest in worker training programs and FAB Lab programs for rural schools. She has also authored legislation for apprentice programs.

Nancy shows true bipartisan leadership. She always has the best interest of her constituents in mind in every decision that she makes. She has shown time and again her focus remains doing what is best for west central Wisconsin.

I urge your vote for Nancy VanderMeer on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
