Tomah jayvees 2, Mother Nature 1.

The Timberwolves’ junior varsity team began the season with a pair of victories, but its bid to go 3-0 was thwarted Sept. 4 when its home contest against Brookwood was cancelled.

The jayvees began the season Aug. 20 with a 41-8 victory over Mauston at E.J. McKean Field.

Evan Westpfahl led the offense with three touchdown runs.

Quarterback Evan Long threw three touchdown passes. Two went to Zander Williams, and the other was caught by Luke Buckendahl.

Marques Fritsche led the defense with an interception.

Phil Parks was five for six on extra point kicks.

A week later, Tomah handed Eau Claire Memorial a 27-6 defeat.

Williams and Buckendahl both caught touchdown passes from Long, and Brandon Lueck rushed for a touchdown and two-point conversion.

Hunter Neumann returned an interception for a touchdown.

The contest was cut short with five minutes remaining due to lightning.

The Timberwolves’ next home game is Monday, Sept. 17 vs. Holmen in a 5 p.m. kickoff at E.J. McKean Field.
