Kohlman Cup

Parker Holloway and Preston Peterson are pictured with the Kohlman Cup their Region 6 team won at Eagle River.

A pair of Tomah youngsters will get the opportunity to hone their skating skills during a summer hockey tournament later this month.

Preston Peterson, son of Jessica and Brian Peterson, and Parker Holloway, son of Laura and Ian Holloway, will head to Duluth, Minnesota, July 20-22 to compete in the Northern Exposure Tournament at Heritage Ice Arena.

Peterson and Holloway, both forwards, will compete for Team Wisconsin and play four games. The first contest is Friday, July 20 at 2:30 p.m.

The two skaters gained attention in April, when they competed for the Region 6 team that won the Pee Wee Division of the Kohlman Cup tournament at Eagle River. The Region 6 squad won the title match 5-1, and the best players from the tournament were selected for Team Wisconsin.

In the title game, Peterson scored a goal and Holloway dished off two assists.

The Kohlman Cup is a Tier II all-star tournament that is held at both the Pee Wee and Bantam levels.
