The Tomah High School boys soccer team snapped a five-game losing streak with a 6-1 victory at La Crosse Aquinas Thursday, Oct. 4.

Tomah boosted its overall record to 5-11-0 and 2-10-0 in the Mississippi Valley Conference. The victory gave the Timberwolves a season sweep of Aquinas.

Tomah’s Tuesday match at Fields for Kids in La Crosse vs. La Crosse Centeral was postponed to Monday, Oct. 15 due to wet field conditions. It will be Tomah’s regular-season finale.

The home finale is Friday, Oct. 12 vs. La Crosse Logan in an MVC contest starting at 4:30 p.m. at Veterans Field.

Tomah plays hosts to the MVC junior varsity tournament Saturday, Oct. 13. Matches are scheduled for 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

The varsity begins WIAA Division 2 tournament play Thursday, Oct. 18 against an opponent to be determined after a seeding meeting is conducted among coaches in the Tomah Sectional. The sectional final will be played in Tomah Saturday, Nov. 1 starting at 1 p.m. at Veterans Field.
