Norskedalen near Coon Valley will host the Civil War Heritage Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, with a re-enactment of the skirmish that led to the Battle of Perryville, Kentucky, in October 1862.

Company B 2nd Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Civil War re-enactors will highlight the realities of the smaller engagements that occurred during the war.

Admission for the event at N455 O. Ophus Road is $7 for adults, $4 for children ages 6 to 17, and $18 per family. Coon Valley Fire and Rescue will be selling food as a fundraiser.
