Sheriff John Spears reports the following ongoing activities for the year and narrative excerpts from the week ending July 6.
6/29 Four calves were reported in the middle of the road, south of the intersection of Wimmer Hollow Road and Salem Ridge Road.
With the recent ATV/UTV laws, and the widespread changes of routes in each township, Sheriff Spears would like to urge all drivers to be aware and alert of their surroundings. Sheriff also urges ATV/UTV drivers to be cautious, respectful, review the laws, and wear protective gear, if necessary. Updated routes and ordinances can be found on the Vernon County website (www.vernoncounty.org).
