As a grandparent of two students in the Viroqua Area Schools, I wish to encourage citizens to vote Yes on the Nov. 6 referendum. An essential question for all voters is, “Will this issue benefit my family?” and my answer is:

Yes - the referendum supports academics by adding new classrooms; renovating existing rooms; updating tech, ag, and shop spaces; soundproofing music rooms; and updating libraries.

Yes – the referendum supports safety by securing entrances, reconfiguring parking and student pickup, separating bus driveways, and updating fire sprinklers.

Yes – the referendum supports the entire community by creating a dedicated auditorium, establishing a community activity center, and improving sports facilities.

A community which strongly supports its schools always attracts families and businesses and improves all property values. For more information on this voting opportunity, please visit www.viroquaareaschools.com or www.facebook.com/Viroqua-Area-Schools.
