📧 It's almost playoff time -- catch up with our MLB Newsletter!

Playoff baseball is back -- with fans in the stands, hot dogs in the buns, the Commissioner's Trophy waiting to have a home in one of 12 cities -- and it promises to be a memorable October for the national pastime.

Whatever happens in the chase for the final postseason spots, potential match-ups, health issues, lineup questions and beyond -- we can keep you in the know with our MLB Newsletter.

Recent newsletters have featured stories such as:

→ The magic of the Field of Dreams game (pictured), and what baseball might do to capitalize on the interest in future seasons

→ The winners of the trade deadline deals, most notably the Braves and Dodgers

→ How reporters will cover the playoffs in the midst of a pandemic

The 2021 postseason is scheduled to begin with a wild-card game on Tuesday, Oct. 5, followed by the second wild-card game on Wednesday, Oct. 6. The Divisional Series will follow, ahead of the League Championship Series, with the World Series set to start on Tuesday, Oct. 26. Surprise teams such as the San Francisco Giants, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Chicago White Sox all figure to factor prominently in how things play out, along with regular stalwarts such as the Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers and Tampa Bay Rays.

Of course, between now and then, with the uncertainty of the coronavirus pandemic and its effect on so much of society these days, many things could change.

Whatever the news, we’ve got your covered, with our free MLB Newsletter, which will be delivered weekly directly to your inbox.
