Da Capo Concert Band will end its season with a spring concert starting at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the Black River Beach Neighborhood Center.

Conducted by Jaime Greenfield, the band will perform a number of famous overtures. The audience will be entertained with the familiar strains of George Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess,” the cannon booms of Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture,” and Rossini’s “William Tell Overture” (the “Lone Ranger” theme).

Also featured will be Leonard Bernstein’s “Overture to Candide,” Claude Smith’s “Emperada Overture,” and the “National Glory Overture” by famed march composer K.L King.

After the concert, the audience is invited to join the band members for refreshments.
