Ashley for the Arts the final piece of its August music festival lineup Friday, revealing that Daughtry will play in the 8 p.m. slot on the Friday of the annual fest, which runs Aug. 9-11 this year.

Led by Chris Daughtry, who vaulted to fame as a finalist on season five of "American Idol," Daughtry has released four albums since the band's 2007 best-selling debut album, which included the Grammy-moninated hit "It's Not Over."

The band's most recent release, 2013's "Baptized," which included megahit "Waiting for Superman," was a turning point in songwriting for Chris Daughtry.

Rick Springfield and ZZ Ward round out the headliners for the Friday night of the festival, while Saturday features Rascal Flatts, Andy Grammer, Dan + Shay and Carly Pearce.
