David Hare's "The Blue Room" will play for one weekend - 7:30 p.m. Aug. 25-27 - at The Muse theater, 1353 Avon St.

"We selected this play because we do want to set ourselves apart as providing mature themes at The Muse," said director Vicki Elwood. "We want to distinguish ourselves as cutting edge. This subject matter is risque, and we like pushing the boundaries."

The play explores the power struggle and sexual dynamics between 10 characters of different backgrounds, and examines the politics of sex with total frankness.

Stage design is by Don Elwood, lighting design is by David Klitzke and sound and projection are by Ross Bradley. Cast members are: Paul Hibbard, Sierra Schermerhorn, Rhys Wolff, Katie Bakalars, Michael Birr, Lindsay Bryan, Matthew Springer, Raina Thelen, Adam Fogelson and Katya Carter.
