Madelyn Gagermeier.

Madelyn Gagermeier is this week’s featured student at Crucifixion Elementary School.

Mady’s favorite subject in school is Art, which she said was “because it’s a time to let loose and express yourself.”

Mrs. Datta, Mady’s teacher, shared that “Mady is our creative person. She is very artistic and is always working on some project that uses her creativity. She is a great student, has a wonderful personality, is helpful to others, and she likes to share riddles that she learns. We are glad she is part of our class.”

Mady said that one of her favorite school memories was when her Kindergarten class hatched baby chicks. She considers her mom to be her role model.

“She is kind, caring, smart, and a hard worker,” Mady said about her mom. “She is someone I would like to be like when I am older.”

In her free time Mady plays volleyball and softball, and enjoys crafts, drawing, sewing and cooking as well. One of Mady’s accomplishments is fundraising for the La Crescent Animal Rescue. She has raised over $300 so far from activities including pet sitting and lemonade stands. Her goal is to have a job that she loves, live near a big city, and go to a good college. Mady is the daughter of Kris and Sarah Gagermeier.
