June 5

Trespassing complaint. Contact made with subject who were warned to stay off railroad property, 500 block of Shore Acres Rd.

Concern reported for welfare of persons observed trying to swim across the river from Shore Acres. Unable to locate the subject at the time of event and they were later observed on the other side, 500 block of Shore Acres Rd.

Fast traffic/pedestrian safety concern in the area of the pool and Kistler Park, 500 block of S. Seventh St.

Driving complaint reported. Subject passed on the right while first car was yielding to juvenile pedestrians, almost striking them, 500 block of S. Seventh St.

Assisted in locating owner of a lost dog in Brownsville through a post on the department’s Facebook page, 8600 block of Swan View Lane.

Trouble with student reported, 1100 block of S. Oak St.

Assisted La Crescent Middle School students with a year end 5K run/walk, 1300 block of Lancer Blvd.

Report received of an individual trying to swindle money from members of the public, Main and N. Walnut streets.

Scam complaint received, 400 block of S. 16th St.

Received a call regarding a domestic dog having a medical issue. Owner transported dog to veterinarian, 800 block of Redwood St. E.

Report of a dog running at large. Animal taken to La Crescent Animal Rescue, 600 block of Welshire Dr.

Mandatory medical report of a cat bite, 500 block of S. Chestnut St.

Assisted Minnesota State Patrol with a two vehicle property damage crash, US 14/61 E. and US 14/61 N.

Complaint of the DNR dock being unsafe after the last high water event. DNR contacted and dock was repaired immediately, Shore Acres.

Complaint received of vehicle being abandoned in a private parking lot, 300 block of Kistler Dr.

La Crescent man arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, S. Oak and First streets.

Assisted the Houston County Sheriff’s office while a subject was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Twilite Rd. and US 14/61 E.

Trouble with party reported. Subject had left prior to law enforcement arrival, 400 block of N. Chestnut St.

Report received of a stalled vehicle on I-90 bridge. Vehicle had stalled in traffic lane and subjects had assisted, US 14/61 and I-90 West.

June 2

La Crescent juvenile issued citation for possession of marijuana and La Crosse juvenile issued citation for speed, DNR Landing Rd. and US 14/61 E.

Arrested a La Crosse man regarding a felony Wisconsin arrest warrant and also issued a citation for driving after a suspension, 500 block of S. Fourth St.

Dog running at large. Animal returned to owner, 200 block of S. Elm St.

Trouble with juvenile reported, S. 14th St and State 16.

Two vehicle property damage crash reported, US 14/61 E. and US 14/61 N.

Animal complaint received. Removed a bird stuck in a chimney, 400 block of S. 11th St.

Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center report received, 300 block of S. Second St.

Person who had reserved park pavilion was upset by youth ball tournament being held in the vicinity, 300 block of Red Apple Dr.

La Crosse woman arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Hillview Blvd. and US 14/61 N.

Whitehall man issued citation for speed, Hillview Blvd. and US 14/61 N.

Assisted the Houston County Sheriff’s office on a traffic stop where subjects were cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana, 33000 block of County Road 1.

Assist Caledonia Police Department with a verbal domestic while working a Towards Zero Death (TZD) shift in Caledonia, S. Decorah and W. Grove streets.

Attempted to locate subject with active arrest warrant, 500 block of S. Fourth St.
