Black River Memorial Hospital will host a speech and language play group for preschool children throughout the summer.

Sessions will be 9 to 10 a.m. every Wednesday starting June 20 and ending Aug. 29. The cost is $50 per child.

These sessions teach children to use their words and gestures through group play. Taking turns and sharing are taught. Other communication and social skills learned include giving and asking.

Children who have a hard time expressing themselves learn using preschool activities. Sessions improve vocabulary, grammar, sentence length and self-esteem.

To register or to learn more, call the BRMH Rehabilitation Department at 715-284-1330.
