Alice Mary Prochnow
Alice Mary Prochnow was born to Clara (Sizer) and Adolph Prochnow, Oct. 21, 1942, at the Sparta Hospital. She died Thursday, July 18, 2019, at the Serenity House, Tomah. Raised on a farm, attended Indian Creek School Dist. #3 for eight years and then graduated with the 1960, Tomah High School class. She moved to Madison, Wis., where she worked and lived from 1962 to 1988, moving on to Tucson, Ariz., for 20-1/2 years, living and working there.
She moved back to Tomah, in 2009, where she enjoyed camping and other outdoor activities. She was president of the WI-Singles camping group and a member of the LoW's camping group. She was involved with genealogy again writing more family history genealogy and was president of the MJJ Genealogy Society.
She was a faithful member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, Indian Creek from baptism and confirmation to death. She was a member of the ladies aid and church choir, assisting in any other way she could until her health declined.

She is survived by four sisters, Betty Langer, Mauston, Wis., Delores Hubmann, Racine, Wis., Ruth Bennett, Nekoosa, Wis., and Carol Larkin, Chicago, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister; and four brothers-in-law.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 25, St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, 30032 County Road A, Camp Douglas, (Indian Creek/Clifton). The Reverend Robert Gerke will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the church.
