Fay Jean Russell, 84, of La Crosse passed away peacefully in her home Monday, March 12, 2018.
She was born March 22, 1933, in La Crosse, to Raymond and Mabel Swartz. She was number three of four children. Fay was married to Jim Russell for many years. Together they had three children, Randy, Vicki and Jeff. They later divorced.
Fay ran an adult foster home for many years and was well known for the care she gave to people. People also loved her holiday and birthday parties. She was a very proud Packers fan and her favorite players were Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews. She also loved to feed the birds and work in her flower garden. Fay had a lot of love for her family and friends.
She is survived by her oldest son and wonderful caregiver, Randy (Lisa) Russell; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Vicki and Jeff; and siblings, Billy, Jack and Kenny.
Memorial services will be held at noon Monday, March 19, at the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 809 Gillette St. Pastor Richard Pamperin will officiate and burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until time of services Monday at the funeral home.
