Philip J. Steinhoff, 71, of La Crosse passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018.
He was born June 27, 1947, in La Crosse to Philip and Margaret (O’Neil) Steinhoff. Phil graduated from Aquinas High School in 1965 and from the University of Wisconsin in 1970. On June 14, 1970, he married Nancy Crotchett.
Phil worked as a pharmacist at St. Francis/Mayo Health Care in La Crosse and Sparta for over 40 years. He was a regular volunteer at St. Clare Health Mission.
In addition to his wife, Nancy, he is survived by three children, Jennifer (David) Korducki of Delafield, Wis., Patrick (Therese) Steinhoff of St. Paul, Peter (Katie) Steinhoff of Concord, Calif.; and eight beloved grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister, Eileen (Philip) Burkhart of Austin, Minn.; two brothers, Daniel (Vicki) Steinhoff and James (Cindy) Steinhoff, both of La Crosse; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Steinhoff of Stewartville, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jerry and Paul Steinhoff.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. S., La Crosse, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish in La Crosse, with visitation at 10 a.m. prior to Mass.
