Tyler Dennis John Nagel, 22, of La Crosse passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018.
He was born Feb. 10, 1995, to Max Nagel and Nicole Helgerson, and he graduated from Logan High School in 2013.
Tyler enjoyed fishing, walking and hiking on the bluff, and building campfires. He also loved boating with family and friends. Tyler was able to quickly create lyrics for music and everybody enjoyed listening to his new creations. He was always working with new ideas and said, “Gotta keep the mind sharp.” His smile lit up the room and his sense of humor made people laugh. He was known to stop and help complete strangers and was truly one of a kind, an angel in disguise. He loved flying “solo,” and he passed flying solo. He will be loved and missed always and forever.
Tyler is survived by his mother, Nicole Helgerson, La Crosse; father, Max (Jessica) Nagel, Galesville; sister, Saige; brothers, Jarid, Jakob and Parker; maternal grandparents, Dennis and Cheryl Grimslid; paternal grandparents, Johnny and Luella Nagel; grandmother, Julie Warner; nephew, Noah; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many who considered him a best friend.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 809 Gillette St., La Crosse. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at St. James Catholic Church, La Crosse, with visitation at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Onalaska Cemetery.
