Local business consultant Kristy Walz will offer a weekend workshop at the Franciscan Spirituality Center to help people discover their authentic self.

“Discover Your Inner Leader” begins at 7 p.m. Oct. 4 and runs through 4 p.m. Oct. 5.

Cost is $95, which includes lunch on Saturday. A 20 percent discount is available to those who register with a friend or before Sept. 30.

Participants will find time for deep self-reflection and share in group discussion to create their own, unique personal compass, claiming and honoring their authenticity to help lead them forward. A follow-up program, “Intuition and Intention in Decision-Making,” will be offered in January 2013 to help people discover how to balance intellect and emotion.

“The personal compass is a useful tool for navigating life,” Walz said. “A lot of times we find ourselves in unexpected places doing the unimaginable. This workshop can help people acclimate into new roles, whatever those may be, using their innate gifts, talents, and life experiences.”

Walz has more than 15 years of experience in leadership positions in her business and professional life. She is a business coach, speaker, freelance writer and CEO of Confluence Consulting.
