Zinfandel is the iconic American red and this wine with a buffalo label pays homage to our heritage with a twist. The wine is aged in used bourbon barrels.
The zinfandel is sourced from various vineyards in California and blended with syrah and petite sirah. A portion of the wine is aged in French and American oak for six months and then aged further in used charred bourbon barrels.
The wine weighs in at a hefty 15.5 percent alcohol and features ripe dark fruit layered with complex spice and a hint of smoke. A perfect companion for spicy ribs off the grill.
