On Dec. 5, 2008, a judge sentenced O.J. Simpson to 33 years in prison (with eligibility for parole after nine) for an armed robbery at a hotel room in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A jury had earlier found Simpson guilty on all 12 counts against him, including robbery and kidnapping charges, in connection with a confrontation over sports memorabilia.

On the night of September 13, 2007, a group of men led by Simpson entered a room in the Palace Station hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, where they robbed two memorabilia dealers at gunpoint.

Simpson was released to parole on Oct. 1, 2017, after serving nine years.
