Criminal charges are pending against a La Crosse woman accused of stabbing a 15-year-old girl multiple times late Saturday.

Keyona Banks, 20, stabbed the teen four times on her chest and arm during a party at 909 Vine St. during an altercation between two groups that began earlier in the evening, according to La Crosse police reports.

The 15-year-old was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening wounds.

Witnesses told police a knife was involved, but officers did not recover the weapon.

Police declined to release additional details because the victim is a minor.

Banks, of 1904 State St., is facing charges of first-degree reckless endangerment, physical abuse of a child and disorderly conduct when she appears in La Crosse County Circuit Court.
