Ten years ago, more than a foot of rain saturated our region during a deadly weekend that left behind massive destruction.

Seven people lost their lives. Roads and bridges, houses and buildings were washed away. Entire communities were cut off and crippled by the devastation.

Beginning Friday, the La Crosse Tribune will look back at that weekend and the impact that storm continues to have on our people and our communities.
