La Crosse police are investigating a break-in at the Mac Guys store on Copeland Avenue early Wednesday, where thieves got away with an estimated $60,000 worth of laptops and iPads.

Store security video showed two people smash the glass front door and enter the store just after 3 a.m., according to La Crosse Police. The suspects left through the rear door about two minutes later, and police responded to the store alarm system at 3:05 a.m.

“I think they may have planned this out,” said Mac Guys service technician Jeremiah Shimshak. “They knew exactly what they were going for.”

Sgt. Tom Walsh said police are investigating.

Shimshak said the store was open for business as usual Wednesday.

cops ain't going to post no photos and give the perps clues to the investigation unless and when all other leads are exhausted. I'm guessing.

Ditto Berks comment. Mac Guys rocks, this is sad news.

Including a picture of the burglars with the story would be a good way to get the public's help in identifying them.

I suspect this wasn't an amateur job... Guessing they might have covered their faces.
