TOWN OF NORTHFIELD -- Alcohol appears to be a factor in a rollover crash Sunday in Jackson County that left four injured, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.

Carson Scholze, 24, of Merrillan, was driving a pickup truck east on Hwy. 121 about 4:20 a.m. in the town of Northfield when it left the road and rolled, ejecting all four occupants.

Scholze and passenger Cody Miller, 20, of Humbird were flown by helicopter to a hospital. Passengers Stephanie Wathen, 26, of Hixton and Cole Young, 20, of Humbird were transported by an ambulance to a hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.

From the looks of the truck, they might have been lucky that they didn't buckle up. I don't drive a block without a seat belt on, but this is one of the very rare cases where they lucked out.

Every single injury and death caused by drunk driving is totally preventable.Remember, drunk drivers usually kill themselves and their passengers. Visit for any kind of writing help

They are darn lucky no one died in this accident. It just doesn't pay to drink and drive kids. Take Uber or Lyft......or call a friend to pick you up.
